Alejandro Jodorowsky
If this list was based purely on visuals, he would be my number one.
His films have some of the most unforgettable images, both good and bad.
But he doesn't have enough films, and at times it feels like he tries too hard to be disturbing. That prevents him from ranking higher.
But he definitely should be praised for inventing 'midnight movies'.
